Applications now open for the 2026 Rod Dalglish Scholarship
Rod
Dalglish is the founding member of the iMIS User Group here in Asia Pacific starting
in 2007. He recognised a need for local support and community and worked to
bring the iMIS User Group format over from the US and establish an Asia Pacific
Chapter. He has been a hardworking and dedicated volunteer for the past 17
years. Having served in numerous roles on the Board over that time, most
recently as our immediate past Chair, and Treasurer.
Launched in
2023 Discovery Conference, this scholarship named in Rod’s honour offers a free
two-day registration to the 2026 Discovery Conference in Melbourne on the 12 -
13 October 2026, and up to $500 AUD towards travel expenses.
We are
looking for someone who works hard with iMIS, demonstrates a commitment to
learning, champions iMIS in their workplace and can maximise the benefit from
the opportunity that attending the premier iMIS conference in Asia Pacific
presents them.
Applicants must be available to attend the conference in 2026 in person. You can apply yourself or nominate someone else for this scholarship.
Applications open 5 May 2026 and close
strictly Friday 5 June 2026.
The
successful winner will be selected by the iUG Asia Pacific Board. The winner
will be announced by 19 June 2026.
Winners
will be asked to make a short video in advance of the conference on what they
are looking forward to, and a short video following the conference with their
key takeaways or highlights.

Terms
and conditions
The scholarship
is not exchangeable for cash, cannot be used for other events, is not
transferable to other registrants and is not transferable to conference in any other
year.
The $500
AUD towards travel expenses will be reimbursed after the conference upon
provision of evidence (receipts, tickets, invoices) showing costs incurred in
flights, accommodation, transfers and/or meals while attending 2026 Discovery
Conference. If you have spent $500 AUD or more, the full amount will be paid.
If you have not spent the full amount, a partial amount will be paid up to the amount
of expenses evidence provided.
The judging
panel is the Board of the iMIS User Group Asia Pacific, and their decision is
final. No appeals will be entered into.
If you are
nominating someone else, they will be contacted by iUG AP and asked to complete an application form.
To be
eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Be a current employee of an association, sporting group, political party, charity or other not-for-profit organisation using iMIS.
- This scholarship is not available to current ASI employees, consultants or partners or the staff of partner organisations.
- Applicants must be able and available to travel to Melbourne in person for the conference being held 12 & 13 October 2026.
- Applicants must complete and submit the application form before the closing deadline, 5pm AEST on Friday 5 June 2026.
