Introducing Linda Vinski
We're excited to introduce Linda Vinski, our new iUG Office Manager, who brings fresh energy and experience to our community.
Get to know them through a quick Q&A where they share their background, iMIS experience and some fun facts. We’re thrilled to welcome Linda to the iUG family.
Can
you tell us a bit about your background and what brought you to this role?
What brought me to this role is really a combination of passion and experience.
Over the years, I’ve built a solid foundation in project management, business analysis, and application support, and I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can make an impact by improving processes and driving better outcomes.
I’ve led end-to-end projects, worked closely with stakeholders to understand and translate their needs, and consistently looked for opportunities to enhance efficiency.
What excites me most about this role is the chance to bring all of that together - the technical skills along with a strong focus on user-centric, innovative solutions. It feels like a natural next step where I can both contribute and grow.
How long have you been
using iMIS and in what capacity?
Over the previous 13
years I have worked on CRM and CMS projects involving iMIS/Rise.
From
business analysis, implementation, upgrades, and support.
What do you like most
about iMIS?
Current versions offer a
user-friendly system with multiple functions, including website management
on a single platform and partners providing customized add-ons.
What
are you most excited about in joining the iUG community?
As an introvert, I typically avoided conferences, but from my very first
NiUG (now iUG) Conference, I felt at ease.
I was surrounded by like-minded
individuals eager to learn, and as a community, we supported each other
with suggestions to improve work efficiency and resolve persistent issues.
The dinner events were always enjoyable, filled with laughter and
interesting conversations!
Do you have a fun fact
or hobby you’d like to share?
I have been hosting the
RSPCA Cupcake Day for over a decade. However, this year will likely be my
first time not hosting due to being in such a small team.
I'm hopeful that
I can encourage everyone to donate directly. I might even set up a stall
at the conference – you never know!
What’s one thing you’d
like iUG members to know about you - professionally or personally?
Dogs Dogs Dogs… Over the decades I have had 7 dogs ‘adopt me’.
I currently
have 2 male ridgeback x mastiffs (Scooby and Bob).
My previous workplace
asked us to wear socks to promote ‘Crazy Socks for Docs Day’, so my dogs
obliged.
They are always willing to help for a good cause. I am also up
for a good laugh and April Fools pranks are the best.
